Promoting Petey!
Age:5 years
Breed:Terrior Mix
Petey is a very playful and hyper dog who just needs a lot of love and attention. He's been in the shelter for a year now and his cage aggression has grown worse. Often, people mistake him for being a mean and viscous dog when really, he isn't. It takes time for him to grow adjusted to you but if you are willing to give the time and effort with him he will grow very attached. He should not be in a home with children or cats. He's currently going through training and has improved greatly since we first met him. He's had a rough past and living in a cage doesn't help him forget that.
He doesn't get along with most dogs but seems to take well to Oreo, a cockerspaniel who has also been there for a while (located in the cage next to Petey), we're guessing he can relate. Please consider adopting Petey if you feel your home is fit for him.
